Greece is a country located in Southern Europe at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa. Athens in the south is the nation's capital and largest city, followed by Thessaloniki in the north. Attractions such as the temple of Knossos in Crete, the Parthenon on the Acropolis, a 5th-century B.C. citadel with the Parthenon temple are worth a visit.

Other places of interest are the sanctuary of Delphi a famous oracle at the Temple of Apollo and the ruins of Olympia were the first Olympic Games took place.

The greatest wealth of the Greeks is the spectacular scenic beauty from the forests of the north to the picturesque islands of the Aegean. Greece has a vast wealth of significant and impressive historical sites. These range from ancient monuments, the ubiquitous remnants of classical antiquity and many recently renovated museums, Byzantine monasteries and medieval castles.
